First, thanks to my FS buddies for lookin' out and trying to "kick" me into action! It's working...am not out of the woods yet--but am THINKING about it! :) Well, seriously thinking about it...starting tomorrow!
So here's what went down: Breakfast: cereal and soy milk (3) drank some water in the car; but no further luck drinking water until almost noon!
Lunch: University meeting; lunch was served. Did relatively good. Had a veggie burger (3), skipped the bun, took just 1 spoonful of macaroni salad (2)and 1 spoonful of asian salad (2)(something mayo-like). Had 5-6 pieces of potato chips (2), and 1/2 a brownie (3). Skipped the drinks (SWEET ice-tea, and lemonade--no water available! yikes!). Lunch was thus higher on points, and despite making sensible choices, I didn't feel satisfied or full! Shoulda had my lentil soup (which was still sitting in my office fridge). Oh! and didn't even enjoy the brownie..useless points spent!
After that, had to get ready for class (was offered an impromptu and "helpful" teaching observation by a colleague(groan..another one!). Well, despite the bit of added stress, the class actually went GREAT! Lot of interaction, good discussion, and FULL audience participation!
After class, hung around chatting with a colleague for about an hour, and then headed off to my winetasting (I was STARVING by then!). So stopped by at CVS to pick up bottles of water and a protein bar (to help me tide over some hunger).
At the winetasting, there were 6 small samplings (must not have been much more than a glass at most, so only 2 points). BUT, the food around was a little tempting---I must have had atleast 6-8 crackers, and at least 8-10 small cubes of cheese. (points? countless!).
Oh! and on my way over and back, I was munching on a can of fat free pringles (oh, those remnants of the bad old days!)..I finished the whole can which was 70 cal (* 7 servings, so 490 cal!!).
And finally, to make matters worse, I didn't go work out after all!!
Oh! late night, after 11 pm, I have had 1 rice cake, and a couple of walnuts.
ALL BAD STUFF...but some things that give me hope in all this are:, 1) I still came back and put all these incriminating things on my journal for all the see (sigh!), and didn't skip out journaling despite wanting to do so! 2) I set an appointment with my gym-buddy for 7 am tomorrow (and am gonna take Evelyn's advise and set 2 alarms--and leave them away from the bed), 3) Starting workout in the morning, drinking over a litre of water right there, getting my breakfast in, will take care of getting me on track in the morning, so I should be able to stay on track the rest of the day.. 4) For good measure, I now have 2 bottles of water in my car and a protein bar, so I shouldn't be completely famished and defenseless at a future point...
ok, so this week, therefore, is a wash in every aspect. BUT, I want to start off right tomorrow (except the dinner tomorrow), and take this around the world challenge SERIOUSLY for the next two weeks. THAT IS MY EARNEST PROMISE TO MY TEAM!! I'm not gonna flake out on me or my team!!!
Oh, and the biggest incentive to getting back on track is the worry that the warm weather is already here and I'll soon have to wear clothes that will reveal all weight-gain!! I need to be able to wear the blouses, shirts, t-shirts to all fit well and not look bad!!
