Day 3 booya!

Going good now, getting into the rhythem of eating every couple of hours and drinking water. I find having a big jug of water with me at my desk at work and taking a sip of it every time I start getting fidgety.

Oh and something I didn't mention before, I am not mixing my shakes with milk. I have seen comments by people saying they mix with skim milk (which I think tastes vile) or 1%... even 2%! But so far I think they taste fine with just water as the packets recommend, the blends are pretty creamy as it is and milk would make it a little too rich I think.

Anyway...

-Review-
French Vanilla Shake - tasted REALLY weird at first, but I let it sit for a couple of minutes and it tasted better with every sip. I think the mix in this one needs a couple of minutes to let the flavour out.
Chicken Noodle Soup
- Bland, bland... and bland. I needed to season the heck out of this till it was to my taste, but that was easily done and then it tasted YUMMY. I actually can't fault MediFast for making their soup this bland because it allows you to season it up to your own tastes (we all have different tolerances for salty flavours etc). It is PACKED with noodley bits and chickeny bits. You really feel like you're getting a meal out of it, the broth texture is thick and buttery rich.
Chocolate Mint Bar - eh... I didn't feel crazy about this one. And I like chocolate and mint, I think it was the amount of rice crispie bits that made it a lil flat for me. The taste was alright, lil bland (I like to taste the mint more) but I did like that it wasn't sweet chocolate tasting or waxy textured. Not bad, but not droolsomely good like the Caramal Nut.
Banana Pudding - oh god... MediFast... why on earth did you allow this to go into production?! *shudders* I am afraid I don't have a single good thing to say about this pudding. It was slimy in texture, tasted... I dunno what it tasted of really but it sure wasn't banana >.< I couldn't finish it at all so I can't speak for how filling it might be. Yuck, that's all I can say. Sorry!

I liked the Dutch Chocolate so much yesterday that I've got that for my second meal shake and have a Caramal Nut bar for my afternoon snack... boy those bars are SO perfect for that 3pm munchy feeling at work. I'm planning on trying a tomato soup later on... kinda leery about the oatmeal because I don't generally like packeted oatmeal.

I'm really glad I got the variety pack, and also glad I only got the 2 week one. It's allowing me to try a bunch of the foods without feeling like "Oh god, I hate *insert food* so much and I have 4 weeks of it". I think I'll be able to custom order my next couple of weeks and be really happy with what I'm eating instead of feeling like there's a couple of things I have to choke down haha my god imagine 4 weeks of banana pudding... Ahhh!!!

-Tip-

Balance is key - try and keep in mind that for this diet to work you want to be consuming under 600 calories and 85 carbs. If you do deviate from the packaged food, try and keep within those boundrys at least.

La Croix carbonated waters will give you that soda feeling without the cal's. So will Coke Zero, tastes just like Coke but without the sugar!

-Remember-
Look in the mirror at least once a day and tell yourself how beautiful you are REGARDLESS of what you see. Someone needs to tell you the truth, and it should be you. One day, that reflection will surprise you by reflecting the truth back.
