it usually is water gain because we tend to hold on to less water when we low carb as soon as we take in more carbs the water weight comes back again. So you have to take that into account.

The scale water and fat readings don't jive with that.

I don't know how accurate those scale can be always. Maybe ballparkish

My scales do show a connection with Water/Fat values. A drink of water will result in less Fat% value a few minutes after.
Dr. Tro said the other day that it may take two to five years on keto to reach complete metabolic healing. Personally I'm fine with that. Getting close to my two year anniversary.
Like you, it doesn't take much 'sin' to feel the negative consequences. In a weird way, it is helpful to getting back on track. Full healing will come when it comes.

I am baffled on how little bone your scale calculates!!! The average male adult has about 14% of bone. That would put you at roughly 25lbs in my calculation?!

And the percentage adds up to 109 & 109.2??? Is it only me or are these scales nuts?

Imo, it's more about the precision of the scale and not the outright accuracy.
Diddlee- I'm with you! It does make it relatively easy to keep on track. After just one full day back on course I feel better. Interesting that eating carbs makes me get hungry. After my normal low carb breakfast yesterday I wasn't hungry for the rest of the day. I could have easily skipped lunch and dinner.

and it can depend on the type or combination of the carbs too. sugar in small amounts does not trigger any reaction in me. cheese in small amounts definitely gets my hungry thing going. more than a bite or two of potato's does it too. those are just 3 I have tested lately. I have enough problems without going too much into carbs.

I ate carbs on Thanksgiving, my stomach started bloating and I retained water, just from one weekend. Took me a week to return to normal.
