3pm: My body feels so exhausted today. I managed to get up early this morning but did a gentle yoga session instead of the intense ones I've done in the last 3 days. When I got up, my ass just ached from the strengthening moves so it was time to take it easy. After some hip stretches, my butt and hips felt loser and less sore. It's a good sign that the exercises are working me out...looking forward to slimmer hips and thighs!
Successes:1) I made vegan carrot cake for the office. I did have a little more than intended but I feel ok with it. It's great cake and I'm comfortable having a bit every now and then as long as I do it consiously and enjoy every morsel.
2) Used a trick from a website
mindfuleating.org. Time my eating so I take at least 25 minutes to eat my meal. I used this method during lunch and it helped me appreciate my meal (yummy spinach pesto on rigatoni) and avoid going for seconds.
I'm grateful for:1) having all the kitchen essentials to make great food.
2) my husband making sure I have plenty of power in our solar system so I can get up before sunrise and do my yoga.
3) having co-workers who have joined me in eating more vegan foods.
