Wow i did not know that chris. Interesting! More reason to continue taking care of one self! I'll be 40 this month and i feel more in shape now then when i was in my 20s lol my fiance said he sees me toning up. I love using dumb bells for exercise. Im ready to go up to some tens and fifteens. My legs say 8 pounds too light lol
Anyways i want to look in mirror and see a hot ass mommy of 4 , not perfection, but my hard work, the last couple of years and i want that self confidence. Ive battled low self esteem my whole life. Working out has not only benefited me physically but mentally as well! People still say neg comments about my weight people think im odd loving weights but. Yet i continue because im doing this for myself not others!

Im a exercise geek! Lol pays off when people ask how u do it! Its a life style change. You have to want to do it for yourself. U want it bad enough you will stop the excuses and go for it! Im not trying to look manly lol i want be healthy and look in shape. Takes time, patience, decication, self discipline, motivation. Once in a routine its part of your daily life.
Having a healthy heart is a big plus! As a woman it is important also to protect my bones by keeping my muscles strong. Regardless what we look like people will always say something. That's when middle finger comes in handy lol

When i was fat i had BP 15/8 and HR 90. Since i am at a normal BMI i have 10/7 and 45. All of them when resting. Cardiologist said everything is fine. I started regular work outs after losing weight. I am 51 yo. My relatives have negative opinion for me lifting weights but i don't care. I do it because i like this kind of exercise and it is my way for a healthy aging.
