Oh no😯
It’s been a long time since your sugars were at diabetic levels

Let’s hope you’re back to normal soon. Have a wonderful time with your family 🤗

That's a shame, maybe grate a little parmesan over instead.

gaelicgal, so those ketostix work fine whilst on keto long term? I used them for the first month, but tempted to get more and test different food days.

I have a ketone blood meter from Amazon - On Call - pretty cheap but the strips are £20 for 25.

Thanks, will order a meter soon. Going to stay on this WOE for life, so may as well 😁

I can't thank you enough for journaling on this! In the book "Stumbling on Happiness" the author suggests we use "other people's experiences to predict our future". I feel I am better able to understand the diet by watching others. If I try it, I think will not eat the eggs 'all day'. Perhaps just lunch and dinner?

You ever thought about or tried a complete carnivore diet?

It's so hard and frustrating to try to find something that works for you and your individual circumstances - I wish you the best and enjoy your grandson's birthday!

@tonqsadler - no but I'm definitely thinking about it.

@nikeit - I will- we're providing the food as the family are coming down to a fairly local caravan park tomorrow, and we'll see them on Tuesday - not seen them since last August.

I listened to a podcast recently where someone was trialling it. The results for him were amazing but I understand we are all different and may have different results. Feel terrible suggesting it, I was vegetarian for six years up until two weeks ago!

@tomqsadler I love my meat - and fish - I reckon I could give it a try. I tried being a vegetarian several times, but just couldn't stick to it. Hubby is a vegetarian.

@tonqsadler - I've just been reading up about it. I'm defintely going to try it. Once I start I'll detail it on here. What made you convert from vegetarianism?

Think it is really worth a go. Nothing to lose from it. I went vegetarian due to the cruelty inflicted upon the animals. I still am massively against that so my vow is to always try to buy non factory farm meat. I listen to a huge amount of podcasts and over time I think they swayed my opinion enough for me to head back to eating meat. So far so good.
