Does everyone meet their target goal, and should I aim to? I’ve heard under eating can sometimes be as bad as over eating when it comes to trying to lose weight. I usually find I don’t meet my calorie target (this app has predicted 2200). However, due to working nights it means I sleep though the first meal of the day & find I generally have two meals in a day (around 500-700 calories each)... should I be trying to add more calories in my diet?

Do you mean calories target? Fat secret got me very very wrong I gained weight with their estimate but everyone is very different! Have you tried the online calorie calculator? Most include how active you are and they tell you exactly what you need to lose/maintain/gain weight! Much more helpful in my opinion! 😅 I would try avoid having two meals very close together as I think it probably be a little too much for your body to deal with at once but again would depend on what they are but from 500+ calories each I'd say bit much short time, give the online calculator a go and remember if your working nights you'll have to try your best to adjust your routine to your diet, lack of sleep can really strain weight loss (trust me I know 😂)

completely dependant on your age and how active you are. if you're moderately active 2200 is about right. I sit on my backside most of the day due to work, so mine is fairly lower than what FS suggests, but im eating about 1000ish a day anyway

My one 2400 but I try to keep around 1500-1600. It works for me,slowly but I'm ok with it.

Two meals a day is fine. Just try zig zagging calories every now and then to fool your body. Weekends maybe. I ignore how many cals this app says.

1000-1400 is not a bad intake. 1300 is my sweet spot. the app would predict 2200 as a recommended daily intake, not calories for weight loss but for maintaining.

I follow pretty much strictly- + 20 cal. I prep for the week and have all my meals on time. Days when I am out my meals are in the foam of smoothies. I substitute rice for bananas, dates, pears etc. And for meat I substitute for egg whites and protein powder. Fats I use peanut butter, cashew butter and Brazil nut butter. Always blend with water.

That’s for the advice everyone, I think my plan is to keep going as I am and if I don’t see a drop in weight then I’ll have to start looking into what to change!

For under eating it's generally seen as eating fewer than 1000 calories for more than 1-2weeks. So, say you decide to go on a diet and decide to eat 800 calories as your diet, it is unsustainable over a long period of time. (Unless you're under the care of a physician with regular check ups throughout.)
