MY weight hasnt changed for a week. Quite disappointing even though I know that it is largely due to the muscles I have been working on for a month. I have been increasing my weight training and I can feel muscles buldging from beneath the fat LOL Hopefully I will start to burn more with the new found muscle tone. I sure am sore though. I have been working out 6 days a week for a month and no less than an hour...actually my regular schedule is for 8 hours a week of exercise. I think I may have to do something else to shock my system though because my body maybe getting used of my routine but I have no idea what to do. I do cardio 5 days a week and I also do alot of weight training, treadmill and raquetball. Any suggestions????????
IT is 7:17 and I think I may go sit in the whirlpool at the YMCA for a while...maybe I dropped a pound since yesterday LOL nahh...better not get back on those scales until next week...they can be quite discouraging even though I know I have to be doing good for my body. My instructor told me she could tell a difference in my body shape through the top half LOL Yeah ...I lost a little bit of the little bit of boob I have hahahaha!!!!
Also, have to increase that water intake somehow. I just HATE water!!!! It makes me nauseated. Oh well...will have to force it down.
I also wanted to say sorry to all my new buddies for not being on here. I really do care about your weight journey. It has been hard to get on here with my daughter who is addicted to myspace, and by the time I get on, I have nothing to say anymore cause I'm too tired. But I will try to do better this week with keeping up with all of you :) Have a great week.

Good job on the exercise! When I was at a standstill for weight loss I took out the measuring tape and wrote down all my measurements so I would have a starting place to watch for improvement. Later, even when the scale refused to tell me any good news, the measuring tape fessed up and showed that I had indeed lost inches. So you might want to do the same. Also, I tried lowering my caloric intake for a few days this week and it seems to have done the trick to kickstart the weight loss. I am going to try cycling my intake (3 days high, 4 days low) to see if that will keep my body from going into a "famine reaction" and stalling out again. As for water, I have heard some suggestions to try to drink it warm because that seems easier for some people than drinking it cold. It could be worth a try if it means you will be able to up your intake. Good to hear from you again. Come back soon! =)

probably when your muscles grow as much as they are gonna grow from all the new stuff you are doing with them, you will start losing weight again. i know the scale can be discouraging but if other people are noticing and you've eaten right and exercised well then you are on the right track for sure! as for water, I like to drink herbal tea for variety. I have all different flavors and its a delicious substitute. sometimes i drink it hot, sometimes cold. sometimes I add lemon or the juice of one orange. but I wonder why it makes you nauseated? I have never heard that before. is it that the tap water in your area is gross? or maybe that you're not used to drinking enough and your body is adjusting? I'm glad to hear that we'll probably be seeing more of you. :)

It must be that Im not used to the water. Its just that I could drink anything like tea or soda and I dont have that sloshy feeling but let me drink water and I can literally fel it sloshing around in my stomach. Just makes me sick feeling...yuk!

I use Crystal Lite flavored packets to get all the water down. You mix each packet w/ 16 oz of water, but I stretch it and use it in 3 16 oz bottles this way it isn't too sweet and it gives it a little flavor. Right now I am addicted to the cherry pomegrande flavor. I also like the rasperberry tea one.I also use a gallon jug and fill it with only 2 packets and that way I have all the water I want to drink each day with me and it tastes good.

Hi dana...welchmoms idea was great..those pouches you add to your bottled water are quite good..and make water more tasty. That sloshy feeling ...ive heard others say same thing...it may take you awhile to build up to drinking the daily intake you want...but try those pakets...crystal lite etc...they are good
